Christianity is more than a viewpoint or a set of rules for you to live by. True Christianity is about a person: Jesus. He is the pioneer of our faith. He is the essence of a Christian’s life – not only historically, but also in a current and living relationship. You and I can believe that Jesus lived two thousand years ago, but if we do not accept Him as our king and saviour TODAY, it doesn’t mean much.
For the true child of God, Jesus is not only someone who lived many years ago, but He is a reality NOW. He is our friend and saviour NOW. He is our mediator unto God NOW. He is our source of peace and contentment NOW. Not yesterday or tomorrow, but TODAY. And if we place our trust in Him NOW, He will completely renew our lives.
He gives hope and comfort in this hard and stormy times. He forgives all my sin in an instant when I ask Him to save me. He will never let me down, no matter what the world throws my way or what the government does. He is my friend and He is on my side – not because of anything I’ve done or because I live a sinless life, but because He loves me and died on a cross for me. All I have to do is to trust Him and no one else. He alone has the keys to eternal life. He alone can save us from sin.
Many of us think that we have to become holy first before He can save us. I have to go to church first, then Jesus will love me. But if that is true, we are in serious trouble because the Bible clearly states that we all have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Salvation and forgiveness is found in only one person: Jesus Christ. No one else.
He loves you so much! He wants to save you. He already paid the price for your salvation. But you have to trust Him to receive it. For the wages of sin is death; but the GIFT of God is ETERNAL LIFE through Jesus Christ our Lord. – Romans 6:23
Won’t you open up your heart for Jesus today? Won’t you ask Him to save you? Please do it right now. You may not have tomorrow. We do not know how much time we have on this earth. Go on your knees right now and ask Him to forgive you and give you a new life.
